Science in the Spotlight: Fully Equipped for Planning, Teaching and Assessing the Science Curriculum
A One Day Course for science teachers, TAs and leaders
Perhaps understandably since the launch of curriculum 2014 many schools have focused on maths and English. However with increased teacher confidence in teaching and assessing these two subjects and the acknowledgement of an increased Ofsted focus on science schools are turning their attention to the often forgotten core subject of science.
During the day we will examine how to ensure good practice in teaching, ensuring progression in learning and accurately assessing primary science throughout the school without an extensive budget or and expectation of unlimited time commitment.
Delegates will leave with an extensive electronic resource that is easily adaptable and designed to dramatically decrease the amount of work a busy science subject leader would need to do to feel fully equipped.
Course Tutor: Debbie Eccles, Primarily Science
