If “Early Literacy floats on a sea of talk”, how do we ensure that our classrooms provide every opportunity to develop high quality communication and language development.
DFE research shows that children’s early language is the key predictor of outcomes in later life, so it is vital that we get those early stages right. This course is designed to help teachers and practitioners reflect on their current practice and consider practical strategies for introducing and developing high quality talk and vocabulary development across the curriculum.
