EYFS- A focus on Literacy

A one day course for EYFS teachers and TAs

This course will provide teachers with ideas to equip foundation stage children with the skills needed to become independent writers. It will cover all the phonic phases relevant to EYFS and the activities will promote the application of these within both reading and writing.
Please note the course content will be the same as that in the Literacy Company EFYS course that is running with First4maths.

Outcomes:

Ways to create a meaningful and creative context in which children can learn and apply.

Ways to develop Children’s communication and language skills, ensuring an impact on their writing.

Increased confidence in how to develop children’s writing skills from the start

A wealth of ideas to incorporate daily phonics teaching and learning across all areas with an emphasis on reading and writing.

A deeper understanding of how to promoe the characteristics of effective learning through communication, languate and literacy development
