English – EYFS – afternoon session

This is a half day (1pm-5pm) session with no lunch provided

Course Outline

This course will provide teachers with ideas to equip foundation stage children with the skills needed to become independent writers. It will cover all the phonic phases relevant to EYFS and the activities will promote the application of these within both reading and writing. The characteristics of effective learning will be embedded to support children’s learning in all areas.

Course Outcomes

Ways to create meaningful and creative context in which children can learn and apply.Ways to develop children’s communication and language skills, ensuring an impact on their writing. Increased confidence in how to develop children’s writing skills from the start.
