The Specialist Leadership in Cultural Education (SLICE) programme is run by Curious Minds (the North West’s bridging organisation for the Arts Council). The programme provokes hands on, in-school projects for children, staff and cultural leaders, as well as, valuable action research around their experience in cultural education.
We are currently exploring – what does cultural education mean? what is its relevance in educational contexts and how it could be implemented in more sustainable ways?
The current programme involves working with Brighter Sounds, a successful and experienced cultural organisation whose specialism is in music and digital technology.
