Writing moderation & understanding gaps in learning EYFS (6 sessions)
Please note that this booking is for all 6 sessions. Please add all dates and times to your diaries. Sessions in the autumn term will be virtual. Once a booking is made, the virtual session links will be sent directly to the delegate attending. Session 1: Tuesday 10th November 9:30 – 11:15am virtual session
Moderation of pupils’ writing from November 2020. Investigate the gaps in learning and provide a focus on ways to narrow those gaps. CPD provided to engage with ‘catch-up’ .
Partner working online (Break-out rooms).
Subject leaders to engage with the training and support with moderation of each year group.
These pupils will be tracked over the year. Their progress will be considered at future moderation sessions.
Teachers will be guided through effective strategies to ensure progression in skills and knowledge is accumulatively being applied by pupils.
Create a shared database of year group samples of writing. Teachers to upload and add next steps and gaps to each of the samples.
Lit Co team to validate consistency of written work within shared database over the year. Writing within database to be referred to at future sessions by LitCo team: any gaps missed?
Outcome: create learning hubs across IGNITE schools- gap task linked. Share work with partner year group teacher from a different school. GoogleDrive.
