David will draw on key international research and leading practice in the UK and around the world to identify the building blocks that every team and school should be addressing in order to ensure that teaching is getting better over time.

A school cannot be better than the quality of its teaching, so the leadership of teaching and learning is right at the top of every school leaders agenda. In this keynote, David Weston will talk through the keys to unlocking improvement in a self-sustaining way, presenting some clear takeaways for every school leader. He will draw on key ideas from his recent book with Bridget Clay, Unleashing Great Teaching, as well as his work supporting hundreds of schools through the Teacher Development Trust Network and CPD Leadership course.

This conference is open to all but starts the Ignite Teacher Enquiry Project 2019-20, including follow on sessions during the year. TDT will provide high-quality training to Ignite schools on the principles of professional collaborative enquiry as an effective model for professional learning.
