TA workshop – Effective reading approaches for KS2

Progression in reading skills throughout KS2 will be shared with teaching assistants. Strategies to develop reading skills and reading fluency will be considered along with clarity regarding effective guided and shared reading. Reading assessment will be explored.

Outcomes include:

Clarity with progression in reading skills from Y3 to Y6

A deeper understanding of strategies to improve pupils’ progress in reading
