Philosophy for Children (P4C) with Jane Yates (Level 1) 2 day course
An ideal training opportunity for KS2 and KS3 teachers
Ignite TSA are proud to work in partnership with Jane Yates (SAPERE trainer) to offer Philosophy for Children (P4C) training. Places are limited to 22 so book quickly to avoid disappointment!
This course is over 2 days and will take place at Holiday Inn, Ellesmere Port. This booking is for both training days so please ensure that both dates are added to your calendars / diaries
Friday 16th November & Thursday 22nd November. Please register at Holiday Inn no later than 9:15am for a 9:30am start.
If you have already completed your level 1 training, Ignite TSA will be running Level 2a and Level 2b later in the academic year. Please click on the links below for bookings

Course overview and outcomes:
Using a P4C community of enquiry can develop a range of skills including:
-Respecting other people’s ideas and points of view
-Formulating effective questions
-Reflection & thinking
The SAPERE trainer will use presentation, enquiry, workshop and planning sessions to:
-Introduce the theory and practice of P4C
-Provide techniques for developing children’s thinking and philosophical skills
-Suggest experimental techniques to encourage questioning and enquiry
-Connect P4C with the curriculum
-Present and demonstrate useful resources
