Maths Moderation – Year 5 & Year 6 teachers – afternoon session

This is a half day afternoon session with no lunch provided

Audience: Year 5 & Year 6 teachers / Subject Leaders

Course Outline

Teachers will be given the opportunity to moderate a sample of work provided by First4Maths to enable key messages for moderation to be shared.  Teachers will then have the opportunity to work in pairs with a consultant to moderate their own work and feedback key messages to the rest of the group.  Additional group moderation will take place alongside the consultant moderation.

Course Outcomes

Teachers have had the opportunity to moderate an anonymous sample of work in the area of Number to ensure that the key messages for moderation are clear.  Teachers have had the opportunity to have their judgements moderated by a consultant.  Time has been provided for teachers to moderate their judgements and share best practice with other teachers in their cluster.
