Art & Design / DT tailor made training – 3 sessions

Join Julie Mitchell – Art Days, for our tailor made training and Professional Learning Network

All sessions are held at St Bernard’s RC Primary – A Voluntary Academy (CH65 5EW)

Subject Leaders will have a wide variety of activities and ideas to enhance the Art & Design and DT curriculum. The focus for the next session will be set by the SLs during the meeting.

Please note that your booking covers all 3 sessions across the 2018-19 academic year. Please add the dates to your diaries / calendars. You will also be asked to provide the name and direct email address of the delegate attending so that information and reminders can be sent out prior to the event taking place.

Art / DT tailor made training 2018-19 dates are as follows:

Session 1 (1:00 – 5:15pm Art & Design / DT) – 20.9.18

Art & Design and Design Technology mixed (Textiles); collage with some painting & drawing. We start with sketch book work, and deepen our understanding of the creative process over the afternoon. Participants you will need a sketchbook! Portrait or landscape format A4 black hard back ones are great – ring bound ones allow for them to get full. YPO do cheap ones or you could splash out at Hobby Craft or an art shop. Bring an apron, your charged laptop and your smart phone too.

Session 2 (1:00 – 5:15pm Art & Design /  DT) – 17.1.19

Design Technology main focus with Arty (possible 3D) twist:Mechanisms: Pneumatics and hydraulics. Participants please bring an apron, your charged laptop and your smart phone.

Session 3 (1:00 – 5:15pm Art & Design / DT) – 22.5.19

Design Technology main focus with an Arty twist (probably painting/drawing): electronics. Participants please bring your charged laptop and your smart phone.
